To quote TheFanlistings.org, a fanlisting is "a web clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved fanlisting and they are then listed to show their love for the subject." Basically, a listing of fans from all around the world.

What is digital art?

Digital art is a very encompassing term. It generally means any sort of art created through digital means on a computer. It can mean art created from scratch, such as drawings and paintings created via mouse or tablet; it can mean art created using other components, such as collages and other manipulations; it can also mean computer-generated art using programs, such as fractals or 3D-imaging. These are merely a few examples of what digital art includes. For a more indepth list and examination of digital art, visit Wikipedia's article on digital art. The article also contains links to more articles on each type of digital art, as well as some great digital art-related links outside of Wikipedia.

Why did you call this fanlisting Binary Paintbrush?

I'm not sure if my title is clever or crappy, but I picked it because although digital art is visual in nature, to the computer, it is merely bits of data arranged in certain ways. Digital artists have taken the computer, and used its language to create art. So the paintbrush isn't a literal paintbrush, but a binary one. Er, yeah. :)

How did you create your digital art?

I use Paint Shop Pro X, mainly. I also love to dabble in this fabulous little program called ArtRage.

In addition to my own leet skillz (heh), I borrow the artistic greatness of others through the use of textures and brushes. The following websites contain elements I used in the making of this particular fanlisting: I also used some of my own brushes, which you can get here, and where you can also see some of my own digital art. :D
